In the present section, the overall conditions in which crop production takes place
in California and Sonora have been outlined. In the next section, table grape
production performance is expounded. That is to say, production behavior,
expansion of the harvested area and yields are being examined. It also analyses
the value of production as a whole and by acreage, as well as the derived prices
derived. Finally, labor comparisons are made in order to consider the share of
direct labor costs in gross revenue. The principal findings of this research are
accounted for in section three.
2. A comparative performance: Sonora and California
